Increased sun exposure – do your best to stay out of the rays! Too much sun exposure can cause redness, peeling, wrinkles, pigmented spots and rough skin.
Not getting enough sleep. Unhealthy sleeping schedules can cause us to look more tired and older than what we really are. As the rest of our body resets while we sleep, so does our skin. Skin may become lackluster and dark circles may appear – sometimes even breakouts!
Lack of consistent skin care routine – stay on top of it people! Skin may get congested or dry if you’re not cleansing and moisturizing properly!
Sugar consumption – cut it! Studies have shown that sugar causes inflammation of the body, eventually affecting the face. The collagen and elastin in the skin are the structure of our fibers and proteins. Let’s not make them work harder than they already do.
Cleansing your face too often – it can cause the skin to become dry and irritated. Find a cleanser that is ideal for your skin type and cleanse twice a day – once in the morning before you apply moisturizer and makeup, and once in the evening to remove dirt and makeup.
